Juno vs Meta Muse

Muse is Meta's agent for your life, with a cloud machine, a card on file and memory you cannot switch off. Juno is a Mac agent that forgets when you tell it to and never leaves your computer.

Meta Muse launched on phones on September 8, 2026, added a Mac app on September 17 and an iPad app on October 7. It runs on Meta's Muse Spark model, gets its own cloud machine, and acts inside the accounts you connect: it books tables, buys from partner stores, sends email and keeps goals moving between sessions. Free with weekly limits, $20 for Power, $100 for Maximum.

Juno is a Mac app with no account behind it. It runs on your computer, uses the apps and logins already there, and does the task on your screen while you watch. You connect the Claude plan you already pay for, or your own key, and nothing about your day is sent to an ad company.

Muse wants to run your life. Juno wants to run your Mac.

Where Meta Muse is the better pick

  • Life admin across services: reservations, tickets, shopping at partner stores, and a feed of what matters today.
  • Everywhere you are. Phone, tablet, web and WhatsApp, with the task following you between them.
  • Working while you are away. The agent keeps going on its cloud machine.
  • Paying for things. Single-use card numbers through Stripe Link, so the agent never sees your real card.

Where Juno pulls ahead

  • Work on your actual Mac, like the spreadsheet that is open or the form in your browser.
  • Privacy by construction. No Meta account, no card on file, no feed, no training on your conversations.
  • Seeing the work. Juno acts on your screen, so you are the approval step.
  • Voice first. Hold a key, say the task, watch it happen.

What Muse's Mac app does, and what Juno does differently

Muse for Mac reaches your files, mail, messages, calendar and notes through macOS permissions, including Full Disk Access, and asks before sensitive actions like deleting a file or sending a message. That overlaps with Juno more than any other product on this list. The differences are where the agent lives and who it answers to. Muse's agent still runs on Meta's cloud machine and syncs what it learns to your Meta account. Juno's agent runs on the Mac itself, keeps its memory on disk, and talks to the model provider you chose. One reviewer reported Muse syncing his iMessage history after he declined Messages access; Meta disputes it. Juno cannot have that problem, because there is no account for your messages to sync to.

Pick by what you are protecting

If you want one assistant across your phone, your inbox and the stores you shop at, and you are comfortable with Meta holding the thread, Muse is further along than anything else at that job. If the job is on your Mac and you would rather nobody else held the thread, Juno does the work on your screen and keeps it there.

Questions people ask

What is the difference between Juno and Meta Muse?
Muse is Meta's personal agent. It runs on a cloud machine, acts inside accounts you connect, and remembers you across sessions. It has apps for phone, tablet, web and Mac. Juno is a Mac agent that works on your screen with the apps and logins already on your computer, with no Meta account, no card on file and no training on your data.
Does Meta Muse have a Mac app?
Yes, since September 17, 2026. It can work with files, mail, messages, calendar and notes, with permissions you grant in System Settings. The agent itself still runs on Meta's cloud and syncs to your Meta account. Juno runs entirely on the Mac.
Is Juno free?
Yes. The app is free, and you connect a Claude Pro or Max plan or your own API key. Founding lifetime seats start at $49. Muse is free with weekly limits and a payment card on file, then $20 or $100 a month for more usage.
Can Juno book a table or buy something for me?
It can do it the way you would: open the site in your browser and fill in the form while you watch, with your saved logins. It does not have Muse's partner connectors or its single-use payment cards, and it will not pay for anything without you there.
