Computer use agents
Juno vs Grok Bot
Grok Bot gives your company's agents a shared Linux machine in the cloud. Juno gives you an agent on the Mac you already use.
xAI opened the Grok Bot beta on August 11, 2026. Bots are always-on agents that sign in to your company's software and carry out multi-step tasks on their own. Every bot on an account shares one Linux machine in the cloud, with a browser, a filesystem and a terminal. Access comes with SuperGrok Heavy, about $300 a month, or the top Cursor plans.
Juno is a Mac app. It sits in the menu bar, takes a spoken or typed request, and does the work on your screen using the apps and logins you already have. No plugins to install and no cloud machine to sign in to, because the machine is yours.
Grok Bot is a team of remote workers. Juno is the assistant sitting next to you.

Where Grok Bot is the better pick
- Unattended work. A bot keeps going after you log off.
- Teams of agents that talk to each other in a group chat and split a job.
- SaaS-heavy work where a plugin exists: Salesforce, Jira, GitHub, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365.
- Phones. Grok Bot has an iOS app. Juno is macOS only.
Where Juno pulls ahead
- Work on your own computer, in the app that is already open.
- Trust. You see every click as it happens, nothing shares a machine with anything else, and Escape stops it instantly.
- Voice as the way in. Hold a key, say the task, let go.
- Price. Juno is free with the Claude plan you already pay for. A founding lifetime seat costs $49. Grok Bot starts around $300 a month.
One shared machine is a design choice, and so is yours
xAI's own documentation says every bot on an account shares one cloud machine, including logins and files, and warns that separate bots are not separate security boundaries. That is honest, and it tells you what Grok Bot is for: a company running agents against its SaaS stack, with an admin watching the blast radius. Juno has no shared machine because it has no machine of its own. It runs on your Mac, under your user account, with the permissions you gave it in System Settings. You can watch Juno work and stop it, the way you would with anyone sitting at your desk. Grok Bot asks you to sign it in to your company's software and trust the admin controls.
Different buyers
Grok Bot is built for a company with a SaaS stack and work that should run around the clock. Juno is built for a person with a Mac and a task on the screen right now. If you are the second person, Grok Bot is a lot of machine for the job.
Questions people ask
- What is the difference between Juno and Grok Bot?
- Grok Bot runs always-on agents on a shared Linux machine in xAI's cloud and connects to your software through plugins or a browser. Juno runs on your Mac and does the task on your screen with the apps and logins you already have. Grok Bot is for companies delegating ongoing work. Juno is for a person doing work on their own computer.
- Is Grok Bot available to everyone?
- As of its beta, Grok Bot is limited to SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers, with enterprise access on a waitlist. Juno is a free download for macOS 14 and later.
- Which is cheaper?
- Juno is free when you connect a Claude Pro or Max plan or your own key, and founding lifetime seats start at $49. Grok Bot needs SuperGrok Heavy, about $300 a month, or a top Cursor plan.
- Can Juno run tasks while I am away?
- Not yet. Juno works while your Mac is awake and you are at it. Scheduled tasks are on the Pro roadmap. If you need unattended agents today, Grok Bot and OpenAI Dots are built for that.
Free, and the source is public. macOS 14+.
